I propose a new law. Anyone that was born in the Greater Vancouver area is not allowed to drive when it snows or rains hard.
My commute was a jolly 1hr & 45 minutes this morning, and when I finally got half way across the Port Mann bridge I found there was absolutely no traffic on the other side. Apparently everyone on the east side of the bridge was paralyzed and fixated on the mysterious fluffy whitestuff falling from the sky and happy to sit in traffic to watch it.
Please Vancouver commuters - I'm begging you. If you don't have all-season tires, or are not comfortable driving in even minimal amounts of snow.... stay home!
